The other day whilst in town, I thought I’d treat myself to some new make up brushes. Having used M.A.C brushes for a long time, I felt it only wise to try out something new. I’d heard a lot about the Real Techniques brushes and so invested in a few.
I bought the Expert Face Brush (£8.99), and the Core Collection (£20.99). The Core Collection includes a contour brush, a buffing brush, a pointed foundation brush and a detailer brush. It also comes with a panoramic case/stand to keep them in.
So far I have only used the expert face brush and contour brush. I’ve found that the expert face brush applies foundation a lot more flawlessly compared to my M.A.C 190 foundation brush. The brush itself is so soft and sweeps the makeup onto the face really nicely offering a good coverage with not much wastage left on the brush.
I’ve used the contour brush for my blusher as unfortunately I lost my M.A.C contoured blusher brush (we can all take a moment of silence here for the loss of my much loved brush). Although it does apply the blusher nicely, I have to say I preferred my M.A.C brush and think that the Real Techniques contour brush would be better to apply highlighter or bronzer as it is quite a small brush.
I have to say, the Real Techniques brushes are brilliant from what I’ve used so far. They are soft and very smooth and I’m looking forward to using the other ones I have. At the moment it’s buy one get the second half price in Superdrug so if you want them cheaper then go there now!
What do you think of these brushes? Are there any makeup brushes you recommend?
Peace and love…
