With summer around the corner, it’s important to get your skin in good condition for those days when it’s too hot for makeup or to show off your natural tan without having to cover it up due to spots or blemishes. I never used to have a skin care routine as I found I never had time to, but recently I’ve found a way to do it with the least effort possible and my skin has been thanking me for it. Always having suffered from sensitive, combination skin, it’s taken me a while to find products that don’t cause irritation; then I discovered B. from Superdrug. The beauty of B. is that they have different types depending on your age. There are 3 phases: 20-30s, 30-40s and 50+. So there’s something for everyone.
Here are a few of my B. skin care essentials:
B. Quick 4-in-1 Cleansing Wipes (£1.73 was £3.50) – I know skin wipes aren’t great for your skin and many of you will moan at me for using them, but sometimes when you’ve got home late and just want to take your makeup off and relax, they’re the best thing to use. I find these makeup wipes to be very soft and moist and do get most of my makeup off with only one wipe.
B. Pure Micellar Water (£2.47 was £4.99) – I’m going to start by saying, everyone should buy this. It’s amazing. I never usually use a cleanser as it always ends up in my hair and I find it too much effort trying to wash it off of my face (I know that’s ridiculously lazy) but this micellar water has changed that completely. It’s a 3-in-1 cleanser that dissolves on your face without the need to wash it off. I find that after I’ve used makeup wipes, there’s still some makeup left on my face that you can’t really see but when you wipe over with the micellar water on a cotton pad, you see quite how much is left. It’s great in the mornings when you wake up as it leaves your skin feeling refreshed and ready for the day. It’s also suitable for all skin types, and sensitive skin which is perfect for me. For the price and the results, I urge you all to try it.
B. Ready Day Cream (£4.97 was £9.99) – A good moisturiser is not only for hydrating your skin, but also for a great base for makeup. I’ve tried a variety of different day creams in the past couple of years and have finally found one that doesn’t hurt my skin. You don’t have to use much of it either as a small amount goes a long way. It also smells really nice but not too strongly and keeps my face hydrated all day. Having an SPF of 15, it will also help to protect against the ageing and damaging effects of the sun.
B. Nourished Night Serum (£4.97 was £9.99) – At night time, I like for my skin to feel hydrated so that I wake up with my face feeling replenished and soft. This night cream does just that. I find it has a lighter consistency than the day cream and rubs into my skin nicely without leaving it feeling greasy or heavy. This has the same smell as the day cream which is a definite plus. I also like the pump bottle that it is in as it makes it easy to pump out just the right amount without making a mess.
In my previous blog I wrote about the B. foundation that I tried and loved. I’ve also got a few other B. makeup products as I find them really good for the price and they all smell lovely.
Have any of you tried B. products? What did you think? Are there any other brands that I should try out that aren’t so well known?
Peace and love…
